The 2020 Kia Stinger marks a new step in the brand’s evolution as this vehicle shoots high above Kia’s mainstream lineup to offer formidable competition with luxury sports sedans from other players such as Audi or BMW. In the perfect balance of power and refinement, the Stinger delivers high performance and supreme comfort on the open road. Some of our favorite features on the 2020 Kia Stinger include:
The Kia Stinger offers two engines, each paired with a gearing-optimized version of Kia’s next-gen 8-speed automatic transmission for fast, seamless shifting and decisive acceleration. The base 2.0-Liter Turbocharged 4-Cylinder Engine gives an impressive 255 Horsepower and can go from zero to sixty miles per hour in 5.9 seconds.
The high-performance option is the 3.3L Twin-Turbo V6 which brings 365 Horsepower and goes zero to sixty miles per hour in just 4.9 seconds. This option delivers the optimal daily driver while providing the thrill of driving a sports car.
The eight-speed automatic transmission is exceptionally fast and well-calibrated which means drivers can get up to speed in no time with minimal effort. The Stinger was expertly engineered to provide finely tuned chassis feedback, high levels of lateral grip, and smooth power delivery.
The handling is perfected with more than basic power steering. Electronically Controlled Suspension allows on-the-fly suspension tuning. Limited Slip Differential distributes power for more responsive and agile handling allowing for maximum grip. The Drive Mode Select System offers manual functionality which optimizes efficiency in any driving conditions.
Connect to more than just the road by letting your phone connect with your vehicle with Kia’s UVO eServices. Prep your drive from the comfort of your home by plotting a course from your phone to be ready to go the moment you enter the vehicle. For those looking to set limits for your teen drivers or significant other, you can view live time driving which includes speed, curfew (set a time), or geofence alerts that can be checked remotely. For convenience, users can schedule vehicle maintenance with a dealer, check diagnostics, and set service intervals all from the eService app.
One of the most useful points of information in your vehicle is the Head-Up Display which projects important information directly on the windshield of your car just below your line of sight to help you stay informed and focused while enjoying the drive. Below that, the Stinger has an LCD screen between the RPM gauge and speedometer where additional information about the vehicle’s performance can be monitored from g-forces to turbo boost levels. To top it off, the Stinger features Harman Kardon Premium Audio with Clari-Fi which provides advanced sound technology that fills the cabin with rich, balanced audio through 15 speakers.
The interior is sport designed and fits with the powerful aesthetic, especially when considering its price. It boasts 40.9 ft³ of cargo space with the sear area which is plenty for a sedan. The low-slung seating profile and ergonomic, contoured bucket seats cradle you in every curve to keep you comfortable while also maintain a sleek look. The Kia interior materials are not cheaply produced with plastic like many sedans and bad stitching in the leather seats option. Kia took pride in making the Kia Stinger entirely sport with signature stitching and real genuine interior parts.
